About Neve
Riding from an early age, Neve has striven for excellence in classical dressage. As a German F.N., certified trainer and instructor, she is a licensed Bereiter*, which is awarded only upon successful completion of their rigorous courses.
My first steps with horses began as I took my own, at the tender age of 8 in South Africa. Being the sole member of my family who had any interest in horses, it took determination from the onset to acquire my first mount at age 11.
Soon thereafter, my parents made a delightful decision (or so it seemed) to move to the South of France. Already fiercely independent, they agreed to permit me to live with my grand parents in South Africa, who fully supported my dedication to the horses! This proved to be an advantageous setting as I thrived in academics. Upon graduation, and much to the dismay of my school Principal, continuing in academia was not in my plans.
By this time, I could ride, but I wanted to learn how to ride properly, and I knew Germany was the only place to go.
So at 18, I packed up my bags, but not speaking a word of German, I set off on my own, in search of my life-long dream.
After an intensive time in Germany, I was afforded the opportunity of a 3 year apprenticeship with Wolfram Wittig. This concluded my Bereiter* training, including the award for outstanding achievement. Throughout my 10 years in Germany, I worked for several trainers including Johannes Augustin, and Martin Christensen.
In addition to my equine achievements, I discovered a new interest and started studying Human Nutrition. Wanting to complete BSc in Human Nutrition, I packed up again and headed to wilds of London and the rest is history.

The Deutsche Reitliche Vereinigung, or German F.N., is the national Equestrian Federation responsible for governing all disciplines of equestrian sports, breeding and competitions in Germany. Trainer and instructor licenses are obtained from the German Agriculture Ministry and German F.N. at the German Riding School in Warendorf. Instructors can be licensed with the “Bereiter F.N.” title, which allows them to teach riders through a level comparable to upper level dressage. These certifications are awarded only upon completion of vigorous study courses and riding tests.)
